Okay. It's January and I am finally getting around to writing the commentary. Forgive me if I have the details wrong and please send corrections.

If you follow this blog, you know what a rockin time we had last November in this joint! We had our best DNO turnout ever! Sadly, this month's meeting wouldn't even come close.

The White Horse is a West Village fixture. Dylan Thomas slowly poisoned himself here. Jane Jacobs revolutionized city planning here. The beer selection is a bit pedestrian, but they have Anchor Steam on tap, which is fine enough. Kevin, Dan and I were joined by "P" and this guy, Sam. Sam's a radio guy. He likes to talk. A lot. About himself, mostly.

Well let's just say that he's not from the Listeners... Sometimes, through no fault of their own, people just don't roll with the vibe of DNO.

After the White Horse, Dan, "P" and I found this Belgian joint that was positively 4th St. Vol de Nuit (Night Flight) is tucked away in a back building off of W. 4th. I'm sure we had a couple of Leffe Blondes. It was crowded and loud inside. The rain was coming down just enough to be annoying, but we found a table under the eaves in the courtyard. Good service!
